since April.... someone at fordsix.com found the pic of the white Ranchero, A friend and I snapped the pic of the yellow Ranchero in Willams, AZ, I more or less completed the engine compartment less a few parts that need replacing and I've been working on details around, on, in and under the dashboard including the custom defroster ducting in the picture. I still don't understand how to format these blogs with pictures and text. So if this looks wierd - so what!

Here is the body raised to roll the chassis under and a picture part way back down. I haven't taken a picture with it down all the way yet.

Finished the frame extension!!! The process included hunting down Rodeo/Passports and looking at how hitches attach in parking lots etc. As I get ready to put the body and chassis back together I find I am getting excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WoooHoooo

So I decided the chassis need to be extended in the rear about 10". Posted here are pictures of some fabrication in progress. Yeah for Mayorga's welding. The pieces cost $10. Actually he want $8 but I gave him $10. The long piece is some pieces they had that fit over the 3x3"pieces. However they were not long enought so I am splicing them into one long piece that will be cut to fit to make the new rear cross piece. This will make more sense when I post pictures of it all attached to old frame. The work bench picture is a bunch-o-parts that I painted while painting the engine compartment. Hood latch, battery tray etc.

Sad News

On January 29, 2009 my project lost one of it's biggest followers, my Dad. There is much to be celebrated about his 90 years. He is greatly missed.
