Don't have too many interesting pictures from June. So I thought I'd post this historical picture from earlier in the project showing the two "halves" coming together.

May 07 progress

Here is piece of the Passport "font pillar" that supports the dash welded in place
and a shot of the dash in place (for the umteenth temporary time). I also attempted
to "re-mount" the hood and hinges with limited success. This will have to wait until I seperate the body and chassis to access various places that can't be finished until I do.

fender fun

Cut out and welded back in the wheel well edge this last weekend. This went really well - yeah!!! This is the real version of moving the "hole" 3 inchese to the rear that is mocked up on the first picture posted on the blog.

So much for some of the spelling

Driver's side rocker panel (or what ever you call it under the doors). I used a piece of the Passport roof. The welding didn't go quite as cleanly as I wanted. This just means more cosmetic work latter. I think what is next will be the front fender for this side. This shall be intersting as it needs too much customizing. I need to more the wheel "cut-out" to the rear about 3 inches and also fabricate some form of extension to match up with the new rocker panel.

The second picture shows the string I used to "extend" the curve of the front edge of the door down onto the rocker panel. In this picture you may also be able to see the "ridge" I am "re-using" from the roof panel to give the rocker panel more "character". ooooooh!
