wheel well fun

So this is the extension of the plastic inner fender on the left front. I should have taken a picture of it trimmed. I'll work on that. now on to some fun.... painting and undercoating the wheel wells etc. Oh and the engine compartment too. all in preparation for dropping the body back on the chassis. Then I'll feel like I am getting somewhere - wooohooo!!!

I tried contact cement with decent results !!!!

glue follow up

none of the tests worked - I'll have to do some research

June and July

Some pictures of inner fender work. The black tub is from a nursery and the plan is to use pieces of it to extend the plastic part of the inner fender to the lip of the wheel well on the metal fender. The pieces on the clothes pins are tests on different glues and expoxy on the plastic.

Still mostly working on structural stuff that doesn't photograph all that well. So I thought this picture of the car loaded for a local camping trip in 2004 would be more interesting.

I was looking at pictures and thought these were worth sharing from the early days of the project. This is dismantleing the red car. You can see the Falcon in the background still uncut. That is Gail in the other picture on a very rare occasion.
